Are you our next star player?

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

Why we need you

We are on the hunt for a Canada & UK Media Manager, who thrives on bringing creative media ideas to life and has excellent media knowledge on current media and new media in Canada. Experience on the UK market is a plus, but not a requirement.

The Central Marketing Department supports the Group’s three main verticals with proposed media plans and partnerships, including local media buying, media sponsorships and partnerships and new media opportunities.

We're looking for an analytical thinker with a passion for media and a knowledge of the poker, casino and sports industries within these markets. This person will support wider marketing teams by bringing campaigns and activities across traditional television, strategic media partnerships and other ATL media to life. If you're a big idea thinker who revels in collaboration, let's talk.

This position helps with the development, implementation and stewardship of media buys, ensuring they are executed accurately and efficiently. These channels include national and/or local media including linear television, OTT and CTV, radio, print, and out-of-home. In addition, this individual is responsible for ensuring strong delivery upon campaign objectives.

As part of the role, you will be supporting the Head of Media to:

  • Lead the day-to-day operational communication with the UK and Canadian media agencies and work with the agency to report on media insight such as popular channels, buyable audiences in each market, competitor spend and competitor media and marketing performance

  • Ensure the coordination of all ATL media activities for UK and Canada including localization, adaptation of the brand assets and liaising with Compliance, Legal or external parties when necessary

  • Be a subject matter expert for UK and Canadian media compliance and regulation, supporting stakeholders across marketing as required

  • Ensure creatives are approved by local media and advertising bodies and are timely delivered to the local agency and media partners.

  • Negotiate the best possible rates, placements and added value across media channels, documenting accordingly to share out with the larger team

  • Design optimal buys in terms of cost efficiency, goal delivery and vendor agreements

  • Provide support in creation of all reporting dashboards and helping develop reporting insights.

  • Help facilitate media reconciliation in collaboration with finance team members to process vendor invoicing.

  • Responsible for tracking spend against approved budgets.

  • Ensure strict adherence to client budgets while meeting client objectives.

  • Stay current on all media trends and opportunities, presenting these for review and approval. Reporting on competitors’ activity, providing our central marketing departments and verticals with local media market insights in terms of local media trends, advertising trends, industry relations etc.

  • Coordinate media activities that require live presence in UK or Canada or other markets as required

  • Develop positive relationships with local media suppliers such as trade media and key TV channels with the aim of executing optimised and value-in media partnerships

  • Reporting on market analysis including tracking on competitors’ activity, providing our central marketing departments and verticals with local media market insights in terms of local media trends, advertising trends, industry relations etc.

Who we're looking for

Previous media buying experience is required. Casino, Sportsbook and Poker media experience is preferred, not not a requirement. Knowledge of the e-gaming industry in Canada and the future challenges and opportunities is desirable.

You should be a strong team player with the ability to foster good working relationships. You will need to be proficient in preparing reports and competitor analysis. You should be well organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise various projects with excellent social skills when dealing with third party agencies and media owners. Knowledge of or an interest in online poker, casino and sportsbook is needed.
