The role: Senior Product Designer
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Betfair International team (part of The Stars Group and Flutter International). It's a role with a wide remit to get stuck into including, but not limited to Sports, the Exchange & Gaming for multiple countries.
The role location is flexible as our teams work in Leeds, and London, it will be a flexible contract with the expectation of working from an office up to 1-2 times a week, or more if you like our amazing new offices. If you are happy to travel, there will be opportunities to visit colleagues in other offices in the future if desired.
Are you our next star player?
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our super talented Betfair International team. You’ll lead on the design, delivery and maintenance of Betfair International assets, working closely with the wider Flutter UKI and International teams. We look after the Sports, Exchange and Gaming products for Brazil, Spain, Italy and many other countries.
You’ll work collaboratively with the business to create innovative products, applications and software that can handle the biggest of challenges - like millions of financial transactions every Saturday afternoon.
Having worked in the digital industry, you’ll have well developed UI and UX skill sets and a rich diversity of experiences to call upon. You’ll have a passion for creating easy to use, enjoyable experiences for our customers that are engaging, consistent and encourage Safer Gambling where possible. Every product designer at Flutter is expected to work across the full design stack.
What you will do…
Working across UKI and International multi-disciplinary teams. You'll partner closely with your fellow Designers, Product and Commercial to find engaging practical solutions to design challenges. Working closely with Product you'll provide the thought leadership developing the right product strategy and come up with solutions that keep our users coming back.
You’ll deeply understand the customers you’re designing for. Whether it’s joining International user research sessions, gathering insights from previous studies or running your own lightweight research, you’ll strive to understand the ‘what’ and ‘why’ of the problem you are solving ensuring we are not just doing the ‘right thing’ but doing the ‘thing right’.
You’ll help raise the bar of design. We're a small Betfair International team that has historically relied on the UKI. You have a crucial role to play in advocating for user centred design and continually improving our community of practice – we want to give International customers a voice at the table to localise their experience and need your help.
You’ll use your facilitation know how to run engaging ideation sessions and other design workshops to help explore, develop and prioritise potential product ideas.
You're passionate about your own and others development, you'll proactively seek out and provide feedback from other Flutter designers to continually raise our bar for quality.
How you will do it…
You will have a working knowledge of the industry standard Digital Design software including Figma, Zeplin, Miro and Sketch.
A knowledge of working with Component libraries and Design systems would be an advantage
It’s a role with great exposure to senior stakeholders and an opportunity to learn from both UKI and International teams
The Betfair International Product Team is led by the Head of Product who you will report into and work closely with for the work in progress and future planning
You’ll also work closely with the Betfair UKI Head of Design to share files, best practices and to collaborate on consistent Betfair experiences
