The role: Legal Operations Specialist (12 month FTC)

We are looking for a Legal Operations Specialist to join our Legal Operations team in our Leeds office.

Reporting to the Head of Legal Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head of Legal Operations with respect to the management and operations of the legal function within the Flutter International division.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us phenomenal and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

Why do we need you?

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintaining and updating the onboard and maintenance of the Approved Law Firm list/panel firms.

  • Assisting the financial reconciliation and payment of invoices.

  • Assisting with the collation and proofing of contracts and distribution for director signature.

  • Assisting with management and distribution to communications, updates, and policies to Approved Law Firms.

  • Assisting with implementation and monitoring of legal policies and procedures.

  • Co-ordinating with business unit administrative and other staff with respect to commercial process and other legal matters.

  • Co-ordinating with applicable shared services with respect to legal processes, including procurement, tax, compliance, data protection, InfoSec, and CoSec.

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience working in legal administrative capacity.

  • Strong experience in administering contracts, managing processes, and dealing with queries.

  • Comfortable dealing with all levels of our organisation.

  • Strong organisational, project management, and execution skills

  • Proactive approach to recognising needs, anticipating issues, and solving problems.

  • Ability to balance and prioritise multiple time-sensitive tasks, and manage competing priorities effectively and independently, including driving results and delivering to deadlines and budgets.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented attitude, and superior attention to detail
