The Workplace Technology team provides crucial structure, security, and strength to the whole of the business. We tackle problems, fix hardware & software, and obsess about delivering innovative tech solutions for the platforms that runs our core systems.
Whether it’s heading up incidents, investigations and changes, we make tech decisions to keep everything working efficiently, 24/7. And, we make sure we keep all our colleagues up and running all day too. Over 4000 of them. Join our team and you’ll do the same.
Why we need you
As a Project Manager within Workplace Technology, you will assume ownership of the end-to-end delivery of products and initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, from ‘Inception’ to ‘Benefit Realisation’.

Interact with different teams and squads within Infrastructure & Platform Services, as well as wider business functions, to run and lead multiple projects.

Take the lead on defining, validating and planning key results, maintaining relationships, and working closely with, both internal/external partners.

Collaborate with different professionals, including: Architects, Engineers, Developers and IT Support on the decomposition and estimation of requirements.

Effectively advise and influence your intended audiences, proactively engaging with relevant collaborators to advocate for the needs of the projects.

Establish clear and regular project reporting.

Build an appropriately detailed project schedule, identifying key landmarks, enabling the effective tracking of progress against plan.

Harness team skill matrices to provide opportunities that promote development and close skill gaps.

Chair regular governance forums (e.g. project reviews, steering committees) to review progress.

Undertake effective and continuous management of risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
Who we’re looking for
We are currently looking for a creative and pragmatic project manager with a ‘can-do’ attitude who will take ownership for the effective delivery of multiple projects within our busy Workplace Tech portfolio. If you have experience working with both technical and non-technical teams, possess proactivity, phenomenal attention to detail and ability to plan and multi-task effectively, you`ll be a perfect match.
Your experience:
-
Solid understanding and demonstrable experience in the use of Project Management principals and methodologies.

Agile/lean experience with Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies.

Demonstrate experience in managing IT projects, ideally within a Workplace Technology, or Infrastructure environment.
-
Experience with orchestration and management of highly sophisticated business structures, able to work in a highly functional environment of technical folk who each own their own area of expertise.

Proven track record of delivering better customer experiences, whilst delivering major product and system improvements and supporting significant business growth.
Your Behavioural Skills:

Ability to drive collaboration with technical teams to achieve effective solutions.

Flexible and resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to a high-change environment and open to new concepts and/or processes.

Flexibility to accommodate for time zone differences across our global teams.

Strong communications skills and an ability to communicate effectively to IT infrastructure technical engineers.

Provide the right level of updates, and accommodate the update respective to each persons requirements.
Technical expertise and knowledge:

Expertise in Project Management delivery and strategy – eg PMP/Prince2 certified.

Full proficiency in Project PMP terminology and reporting and Planning and estimating
-
Knowledge of IT infrastructure.

Heavy use of MS Project and Visio.
