The role: Senior Affiliate Manager
Internally, this role is known as a Senior Partnerships Manager
We are recruiting for a Senior Partnerships Manager to join our Digital team in Malta.
This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission aligned.

Reporting to the Head of Performance Marketing, this role will play a key part in the growth and development of third-party affiliate channels across Betfair International. The Senior Partnerships Manager will be managing a team of 5 affiliate executives, working across our Sports and Gaming products in multiple jurisdictions.
This role will be part of the wider Digital Marketing team that drives new customer acquisition through a wide variety of marketing channels with an opportunity to leverage your marketing and management skills in a dynamic and fast paced industry.

Key responsibilities include:

Develop and execute the overall strategy for the affiliate program to achieve business goals and objectives. This involves setting goals, determining priorities, allocating resources, and establishing policies and procedures.

Provide mentorship and training to team members, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to excel in the affiliate marketing channel and their career through goal setting, learning & development.

Regularly assessing the affiliate channels performance, using data driven approach to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and making strategic adjustments to commercial deals as needed.

Supporting the team to identify and recruit new affiliates to expand the program and drive growth.

Managing the budget. Ensuring effective budget management by regularly monitoring CPAs, identifying underspending, and overspending, and effectively communicating this information to key stakeholders.

Build strong relationships with existing affiliates, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to optimize their performance and inquiries.

Working closely with various marketing, commercial, finance and compliance teams within the organization to ensure a collaborative execution of our overall marketing strategy.

Planning and Reporting. Oversee the creation & delivery of reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Review and approve all reports before they are sent to stakeholders, provide guidance on areas for improvement. Analyze reports & provide insights to senior management, helping to inform decision-making and improve program performance.

Set a standard for operational excellence across the team through established standards and processes across key areas of planning, reporting, compliance monitoring and campaign quality control frameworks.

Proven experience within the affiliate industry to drive overall growth of the channel through key partner relationship management and implementing outreach strategies to engage potential partners effectively.

A data-driven mindset, leveraging existing tools and analytics to track performance, monitor traffic, and measure the impact of our efforts. Proven ability to interpret data insights and make informed adjustments to optimize affiliate campaigns.

Proficient in managing budgets effectively; monitoring key metrics tied to business performance and optimizing spend for return on investment.

Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with affiliates and stakeholders.

Team Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership abilities to mentor and guide the affiliates team by setting performance goals, and fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.

Brand Representation: A polished and professional approach to representing the brand during outreach and partnership negotiations. Demonstrated ability to articulate the company's value proposition, brand identity, and unique selling points to potential partners.

Strong commitment and responsible practices. Adherence to compliance and gambling regulations and an understanding of potential risks associated with irresponsible tactics.
As our ideal candidate, you will have:

A proven track record of success in managing a high performing affiliate team, with hands-on subject matter expertise of executing category leading marketing campaigns.

Proven experience within the affiliate industry to drive overall growth of the channel through key partner relationship management and implementing outreach strategies to engage potential partners effectively.

Preferred, but not required, experience in the gambling industry. We believe that diverse perspectives and fresh insights can bring unique value to our team and strategies.
