The role: Betfair International Sports Commercial Director
We are looking for a Sports Commercial Director to join our Commercial team in our Dublin office.
This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission aligned.
Are you our next star player?
The role will be part of the Betfair International LT with accountability for the portfolio of licensed businesses sports P&L. The role will be responsible for setting sports country long-term plans and working with multiple functions & UKI division to deliver these. This will involve managing our budgets across all regions, understanding market dynamics & performance, defining cross functional objectives, and ensuring aligned delivery of excellent local customer experience.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead a high performing team that can work effectively across functions.

Understand market dynamics, competitors, consumers, business performance & key leavers for driving for performance in each of our markets.

Define our long-term sports vision in each of our markets and create a long-term business plans alongside subject matter experts to achieve this.

Communicating our strategy effectively throughout both the International, UKI & Group divisions.

Manage budget allocation across our Sports licensed markets including revenue, generosity, sports margin & marketing.

Work closely with leaders of customer facing teams on resource planning to deliver across each of our regions.

Work with procurement teams to achieve group deals with suppliers that are aligned to our international objectives.

Work with the Trading Director to manage our risk & trading operation across sportsbook & exchange.

Work with the CRO function to manage our risk in our active markets & ensure we remain compliant.

Work with leaders of customer facing teams on defining shorter term objectives and key results.

Work with Head of product for Betfair International to effectively allocate product & technology resources across the portfolio of licensed regions, working closely with product delivery teams.

Work with the Betfair International LT to drive an engaging culture with the goal of developing staff for progression through the org
