Overview of the role:

We are looking for a passionate technical support expert to join our Isle of Man office.

You will provide IT service and technical support to the local office and other locations as required. The endpoint software and hardware servicing and support will be your main responsibility. We always strive for customer support excellence and you will have full ownership of jobs assigned and keeping customers up to date. To record all work and actions in, and maintenance of, you will be using the Jira Service Desk system. There might be occasional travel to provide IT support at global live events.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned

Our Isle of Man office sits just outside of the city of Douglas, overlooking King Edward Bay. There is an onsite cafeteria, free gym facilities and games area where people can enjoy a game of pool, ping pong or the occasional yoga class.

What you’ll do:

The role involves managing IT equipment, including stock organization, regular inventory audits, and placing orders to restock assets. Responsibilities include installing operating systems, onboarding new employees, handling equipment logistics, and managing departures. The analyst will address IT issues through a ticketing system and provide on-demand support at the tech bar. Additionally, support for audio-video conferencing devices for office staff is required.

Occasional travel to other locations is expected to provide support or assist at live events, such as poker tournaments. The role includes being on call for one week every 1.5 to 2 months on a rota basis.

What you’ll bring:

The ideal candidate can prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines. As a self-starter, there is a solid ability to work both independently and within a team, with keen attention to detail and minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are crucial, along with effective communication with both technical and non-technical staff to ensure high-quality customer service.

A deep understanding of IT security fundamentals is required, along with experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and Apple Mac devices in a Windows Server domain environment. Experience in supporting personal IT equipment, such as laptops, monitors, tablets, smartphones, and other peripherals, is also important.

You are familiar with ITIL and IT networking and communication protocols and solutions. You have worked with virtual environments such as VDI. You have some working experience with Asterisk PBX. You will be a part of the global on-call rotation together with the team
