Overview of the role:

This position is in response to a member of the team completing a secondment internally. If you are a current employee here at Flutter, we would be open to considering applications across Leeds, Dublin and London. 

The Senior L&D Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and delivering inspiring and appropriate learning and development solutions for colleagues and functions across PokerStars, Betfair International and Flutter International central teams.

You and your team will lead and support end-to-end L&D projects and programs, develop impactful solutions, and foster continuous growth. With a focus on human-centered experiences and stakeholder engagement, you will inspire and develop individuals and teams. The team manage budgets, measure impact, and adapt offerings to meet changing business needs. In doing so, they contribute to a dynamic learning landscape that supports business strategies and empowers career focus.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

Our Leeds office is at the heart of our business. The 8-storey building has an onsite staff gym and cafeteria, two heated rooftop terraces, a dedicated gaming room and a staircase amphitheatre. The space brings all our teams under one roof in the biggest private letting office in Yorkshire.

What you’ll do:

  • Resource planning, team development, and coordination: Work with the L&D team to effectively plan resources, while also focusing on team development, engagement, motivation, and high performance. Coordinate the L&D team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring effective communication, support, and project management.

  • Strategic learning design: Identify, design, and deliver impactful learning offerings to support business strategy.

  • Budget management and measurement: Work with the L&D team to develop and manage budgets, measure impact, and adapt offerings to meet changing business needs.

  • Internal talent development : Support the development of internal talent through impactful programs, upskilling and inspiring individuals.

  • Stakeholder engagement and solution delivery: Engage with stakeholders on learning projects, providing end-to-end learning solutions from brief to facilitation and continuous improvement.

  • Learning innovation: Bring digital learning capabilities and innovative approaches to learning solutions for the business.

What you’ll bring:

  • Have relevant experience in delivering training both on-the-job, virtual and classroom environment, and with large groups up to and including management.

  • Have experience with learning technology and management systems.

  • Have successfully developed high performing teams, and their leaders.

  • Experience with coaching team members to enhance performance

  • Strong senior stakeholder management skills

  • Project management experience

  • Qualification in HR, Talent and/or Learning preferred
