Job title: Technical Compliance Lead (12 Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Overview of the role:
The Technology Team within Flutter International is on a journey to move to its next level of capability and maturity. We are looking for a Technical Compliance Lead within Information Security to be part of a function that assures we are meeting our technology-related regulatory compliance needs pertaining to the gambling and wagering sector. The Technology team provides services that cover twenty-five gaming/gambling licences offering Poker, Casino and Sports products across European and US markets. As the number of licenses and products increase, so do the technical requirements stemming out from the regulations in effect in each jurisdiction. This role is focused on our International division and specifically on our Poker product.
This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.
In our office you'll work with a view – overlooking the River Thames, Hammersmith Bridge and the iconic Harrods Furniture Depository. What you’ll do:
Your role will be to analyse current and future products for use in existing or new jurisdictions. This will include:

Analysis of jurisdictional technical regulations to determine gaps and product/process evolutions necessary to ensure compliance with these regulations.

Identifying the technical controls needed to serve the required jurisdictions and how these controls are best implemented through people, processes, tools, architecture, and infrastructure.

Implementation of new and standardised processes into the business operating model, and documentation of roles and responsibilities across processes spanning multiple teams and functions.

Demonstrable experience of working in a compliance and assurance-related lead role in a regulated industry.

Extensive experience documenting technical controls and analysing risk.

Extensive experience with complex online platforms and systems.

Extensive experience in an assurance function.

Experience of understanding complex regulations and translating these into understandable requirements and actions for technical teams

A proven team player who is willing to share knowledge and train colleagues, who is approachable and willing to assist.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; proficient in spoken and written English.

Excellent time management and self-motivated.

Driven to continuously improve areas of responsibility.

Strong problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills;

Experience working within the online gambling industry and experience of gambling regulatory requirements is a definite advantage.
