Business Analyst

Role Overview:

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in analysing and documenting system, business processes and data within the current state of departments, teams, and services within our organisation. Unlike traditional technology-focused Business Analyst roles, this position will not involve directly interfacing with engineering teams but will primarily focus on understanding and documenting business systems, processes & data effectively across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experienced in process analysis for online/technology centric and/or regulated businesses.
  • Ability to work with teams to elucidate current business processes and to identify and document rationales for why the process is the way it is.
  • Ability to quickly and coherently document complex business processes
  • Ability to identify and communicate elements of business processes that will be impacted by change
  • Ability to develop, document and iterate new processes
  • Ability to identify, document and classify risks
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders across different business functions and geographies
  • Experience creating and contributing to business capability models, documenting roles and similar activities


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience in process analysis for online/technology-centric and/or regulated businesses.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in documenting complex business processes using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Experience in risk management and classification is desirable.
  • Familiarity with business capability modelling and role documentation is a plus.
