Overview of the role:

We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic team. You will be directly involved in activities engaging the biggest community of players in the world and will take care of a wide range of social media and community related activities.

This role focuses on driving brand awareness, growing the community, and increasing engagement through compelling content across our social media channels, in line with the brands’ tone of voice and compliance regulation, and based on the calendar of events, campaigns and projects involving ambassadors, streamers, partners, and influencers. 

The right candidate has a broad experience in Social Media; knowledge and enthusiasm for the game of poker is preferred, but an awareness and understanding of PokerStars’ cultural and global brand is critical in taking on the role.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

What you’ll do:

As Social Media Specialist you will join an international team leading a community across over 30 different channels and eight languages. You will work closely with stakeholders across the PokerStars brand, ensuring that projects and campaigns are communicated across owned PokerStars channels, in line with the overarching strategy of the brand, and adhering to the required regulatory restrictions. 

  • Work closely with the team to assist with brainstorming, briefing, production and execution of channel-specific communication plans, ensuring they are in line with brands’ tone of voice and overarching strategy.

  • Assist with planning of the PokerStars content calendar on social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

  • Working with the team to produce content for supporting Live Events, producing decks, presenting plans to wider teams, and planning and briefing content to promote each event.

  • Coordinate production of content to amplify projects, campaigns, and product launches in line with the team’s objectives

  • Collaborate with wider internal teams (Studio, Marketing, CRM, PR, Live Events) to ensure cross-departmental alignment

  • Assist with ambassadors’ & influencers’ activations, working alongside internal and external stakeholders to define and implement plans, as well as reporting on results, identifying successes and areas for improvement.

  • Master Sprinklr - the social media management tool for publishing and moderation, ensuring content is correctly published and tagged following the internal guidelines

  • Assist with the production of reports; consistently monitor and analyse the performances and sentiment of community activities, and proactively monitor activities of competitors

  • Aid with managing projects; produce presentations for internal and external stakeholders, and maintain strong relationships with ambassadors.

What you’ll bring:

We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role, with a strong knowledge of the gambling industry and a passion for poker, casino and/or sports. You will be an expert in Social Media, with a solid understanding of the social platforms and communities, and ability to communicate, present ideas and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Knowledge of the Social Networks’ best practices and proven track record.

  • Knowledge of the Social Media metrics; ability to produce analysis of performances and reports highlighting the results and findings.

  • Past experience in project management and driving plans within a team

  • Knowledge of social media enterprise tools such as Sprinklr and Brandwatch (beneficial, not essential).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the internal teams and external providers, with good teamwork skills in a dynamic environment

  • Maximum flexibility and willingness, with availability to work over weekends as necessary

  • Willingness to keep up to date with digital trends and be a constant source of ideas and inspiration
