Overview of the role:

The purpose of Flutter International’s Business Development function is to drive the expansion of Flutter’s operations, through strategic partnerships within new international territories and geographies.

Business Development supports the growth of international B2B Partnerships with local operators and the Betfair Exchange and other Flutter business lines, (“Partners”). These Partnership support the expansion of the global Betfair Exchange liquidity pool and the liquidity pool of other Flutter products, by integrating into Flutter’s platforms and APIs.

To manage the AML risks posed to Flutter through its Partner relationships, Flutter has created Mandatory Compliance Standards that all contracted Partners must implement. Business Development Partner Compliance are responsible for supporting and managing these partnerships throughout their lifecycle.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission aligned.

What you’ll do:

The Partner Compliance Team collaborates with external partners and key internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to relevant compliance and regulatory parameters, operational effectiveness, and coordination of strategic growth initiatives.

The Partner Compliance Senior Analyst is responsible for assisting in the design, implementation and management of related Sports Integrity- and Financial Crime-specific B2B procedures and processes incorporating Anti-Money Laundering & Countering the Financing of Terrorism; Customer & Third-Party Due Diligence; Anti-Bribery & Corruption; Sanctions; Fraud & Investigations and Risk Assessments.

General Responsibilities:

  • Providing professional advice and support to the business, acting as a Financial Crime subject matter expert within Business Development.

  • Keeping abreast of Sports Integrity- and Financial Crime-related legislative obligations in the jurisdictions in which Flutter International operate and ensure that the associated policies and procedures, processes and guidelines are in place to discharge these requirements.

  • Preparing reports and management information for the Leadership Team as required.

  • Working with cross-functional teams across each Line of Defence and the broader Flutter Group to enable the development of Policies, Standards, knowledge transfer and best practice.

Flutter Partnerships - Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the Partner Compliance Teams monthly, quarterly and six-monthly ongoing monitoring testing of Partners adherence to contractual requirements.

  • Assist in On-Site reviews at the Partners office to assess their BAU compliance controls.

  • Quality checking of post-review reports and actions plans drafted by colleagues.

  • Ensure that all Partners are Risk Rated in accordance with Business Development’s Partner CDD Procedure.

  • For prospective Partners, assist in ensuring that all onboarding client due diligence documentation is gathered and approved line with Business Development’s Partner CDD Procedures.

  • For existing Partners, assist in ensuring that all client due diligence documentation is reviewed and refreshed on a periodic basis, in line with Business Development’s Partner CDD Procedures.

  • Quality Check of Partners Risk Assessments and Client Due Diligence files collated by colleagues.

Partnerships - Wider Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the ongoing development of Flutter’s Mandatory Compliance Standards and associated policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with external auditing third parties to coordinate the execution of both new and existing Partner compliance assessments, ensuring of compliance with Flutter’s Mandatory Compliance standards.

  • Assist in the review of said external review reports, findings and recommendations, distilling the content into clear actions and defining appropriate next steps and strategies. Engage with Partners to ensure they execute post audit action plans in full

  • Work closely with the Exchange Partnerships commercial team to support Partner implementation of appropriate tools, systems or enhanced processes to ensure full compliance.

  • Similarly, support on-going evaluation of existing Partner’s regulatory standards, potential new or remediation initiatives and any associated risks to Flutter.

  • Assist in compliance monitoring reviews of both new Partners and existing Partners to assess their compliance with Flutter’s Mandatory Compliance Standard framework, ensuring the partner’s compliance with Flutter’s Mandatory Compliance standards

  • Assist in the preparation of post-review reports and Partner actions plans and engage with Partners to ensure they execute post review action plans in full

  • Quality Check of Partners Risk Assessments and Client Due Diligence files collated by colleagues.

What you’ll bring:

  • Educated to degree level, postgraduate qualification in Compliance or related field desirable.

  • Proven years in Financial Crime-related risk experience in gaming/financial services, or related environments

  • Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering & Countering the Financing of Terrorism; Customer & Third Party Due Diligence; Anti-Bribery & Corruption; Fraud & Investigations and Sanctions.

  • Knowledge of Customer Due Diligence requirements for Corporate entities.

  • Proven experience in completing Customer, Enhanced and Third Party Due Diligence reviews for high risk or complex cases.

  • An interest / working knowledge of bookmaking is preferred, but not a pre-requisite.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently, whilst maintaining the highest quality and integrity standards.

  • Assist with training and awareness initiative to build expertise across the department.

  • Ability to proactively identify issues and understand associated risks, along with providing practical solutions to a wide range of issues.

  • Candidate required to occasionally travel.
