Re: Aligned Annual Leave Notification
Dear Colleague,
We are writing to let you know about a proposed change to our annual leave arrangements.
As you may be aware, we currently operate two different holiday years across the business due to legacy arrangements from previously separate brands. Some employees follow a July–June leave year, while others follow a January–December cycle. This has, at times, created complexity in workforce planning and made it more difficult to operate consistently across teams.
To simplify our processes and ensure a more consistent approach for everyone, we are proposing to align all employees to a single holiday year running from 1 January to 31 December .
What this means for you
If this change goes ahead, your holiday year would move from the current July–June cycle to the new January–December cycle. We want to reassure you that:
- This change will not reduce your overall annual leave entitlement
- You will not be disadvantaged financially or in terms of time off
- There will be a lead-in time for the change to take effect
Full details of how the transition will work, including how leave will be managed between now and the new holiday year, will be shared with you before any changes take effect.
Why we are making this change
Aligning everyone to the same holiday year will help us to:
- Improve workforce planning and resourcing
- Provide greater consistency across teams and brands
- Make our processes clearer and easier to manage for everyone

We do not expect this change to negatively impact employees, but we want to give you the opportunity to ask questions or share any feedback you may have.
If you would like to discuss this proposal, please speak to your manager or contact your People Partner. We would appreciate any feedback by 30th June 2026 .
We will carefully consider any comments received before confirming the final arrangements. Subject to that process, we propose that the new holiday year to take effect from 1 January 2027 , and we will confirm this, along with full details of the transition, in due course.
