We’re looking for a Performance Analyst to join our Betfair International team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in understanding our customers and performance drivers. The analytics department brings data to life, working with stakeholders to add insight and analysis to decision-making at every level.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Performance Analytics Manager, you will work with commercial and finance stakeholders across the international business to produce insights that drive the business forward. You’ll contribute to our weekly and monthly performance review cycle – digging into performance drivers to identify challenges and opportunities to keep the business headed in the right direction.

This role requires strong data skills including a good understanding of industry KPIs, as well as the ability to build and maintain our reporting suite using Looker and SQL. The ideal candidate is proactive in identifying performance drivers and skilled at communicating insights clearly to stakeholders, enabling informed action that drives results.

  • Build and maintain performance reports – Develop and manage our reporting suite, collaborating with stakeholders to tailor outputs to their needs and enhance self-service analytics capabilities.

  • Monitor performance trends – Review weekly and monthly reports to identify challenges and opportunities, partnering with business owners to address issues and capitalise on growth potential.

  • Conduct deep-dive analysis – Investigate performance drivers and communicate findings clearly to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Support commercial teams – Provide timely performance insights and investigate concerns as they arise.

  • Deliver event-specific reporting – Produce tailored reporting for key moments such as the World Cup and the start of the football season.

  • Contribute to financial planning – Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and phasing to ensure targets are realistic and well-informed.

  • Improve data foundations – Partner with data teams to enhance data quality and functionality, enabling richer reporting and analysis.

What you’ll bring

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills and a curiosity for turning numbers into meaningful insights

  • SQL knowledge to query and analyse data

  • Experience with BI and visualization tools (Looker preferred, but Tableau/Power BI or similar also welcome) is a plus

  • Experience with financial reporting and/or gaming KPIs desirable.

  • Communication skills, with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • A willingness to learn, understand the business, and contribute to what drives commercial success
