What Customer Service Roles Are In High Demand

Customer service is vital for all businesses wishing to provide a world-class experience. These public facing teams are the eyes and ears of a company.

Not only do they protect the reputation of a brand by keeping customers happy, but they also help flag improvements for the product, giving users a better experience and elevating a brand ever higher.

Here at Flutter International, our customer services team is the beating heart of our sports betting and iGaming business. Based in locations across the globe, they’re united in their mission – to exceed our customers’ expectations and help us shape the future of entertainment.

Examples of in-demand customer service roles

  • Customer Service Representative – As a first point of contact, you’ll find solutions for customer questions and complaints across various channels – phone, email and live chat. This role could also be listed as “Customer Service Officer”.
  • Customer Support Specialist – As a specialist, you’ll be fully trained in how to answer questions on certain technical aspects of a product or service. You’ll help solve any specific issues that a customer is having in that area.
  • Senior Customer Support Specialist – To work as a more senior specialist, you’ll have developed advanced knowledge of a particular area or have lots of experience in winning over customers.
  • Social Media Specialist – Your company’s social media channels are where many customers will get in touch and share their views. Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn profiles are shop windows for the brand. So, you’ll react quickly to mentions, comments and messages in this space.
  • Customer Services Team Manager – In this role you’ll guide teams of Customer Service Representatives and other specialists. Your key goal is to ensure all customer interactions are being handled quickly and effectively.
  • Customer Experience Executive – Your focus in this position will be on finding ways to improve the customer journey. Using customer feedback, you’ll map out how to enrich each stage of their experience.
  • Customer Success Manager – Working closely with Customer Experience Executives and the wider team, you’ll work out how to build long term relationships with customers. The key to this role is gaining a complete understanding of customers’ needs, then making the changes needed to meet them.

Why is customer service so important at a sports betting and iGaming company?

In the iGaming industry, the experience of customers is paramount. If you’re not providing your players with seamless entertainment and top-notch support when needed, they’ll simply look elsewhere.

At Flutter International, we operate some of the world’s leading online sports betting and gaming brands such as PokerStars, Betfair International, Junglee Games and Adjarabet.

Our sites and apps are used by millions of customers around the world each day. Players expect the most user friendly and innovative gaming and betting experiences on the planet, as well as a commitment to safer gaming and data security.

We pride ourselves on being industry leaders, but we can only keep and improve our competitive edge with the help of our customer services team.

Without their crucial work, it wouldn’t be possible for us to:

1) Identify and solve any issues our players are experiencing on our websites and apps.
2) Make the improvements to our iGaming products that our users want most.
3) Resolve customer complaints quickly, across a range of communication channels.
4) Prompt recommendations and reviews to enhance the reputation of our brands.

Our success has been built on listening to our players and putting their needs at the centre of everything we do. Can you help us to continue raising the bar and creating world-first experiences, whilst always delivering excellent customer satisfaction?
